Juniors Attend National College Fair

Chatham Hall
On Monday, members of the junior class attended the National Association of College Admissions Counseling College Fair in Baltimore, Maryland.
After an early start from Chatham Hall, the class went first to Johns Hopkins University for a presentation by one of the admissions counselors and student-led tours of campus.  Students had a chance to see the archaeological museum on campus as well as the Da Vinci surgical robot, which allows doctors to perform surgeries from halfway around the world. After finishing the tour at Johns Hopkins, the juniors went to the Inner Harbor for some free time to shop and eat.

The last stop of the day was the NACAC college fair, with about 300 different colleges and universities in attendance.  Students had the opportunity to ask questions and collect information from representatives of schools from around the country and the world.  The schools in attendance included the University of Richmond, Penn State University, UC Irvine, Lehigh, Washington University in St. Louis, and the University of Aberdeen.  Students had much to consider on the ride back to campus, but the day proved to be a great start to their college counseling process.
