The Class of 1970 50th Reunion gift was given for faculty housing and in tribute to deceased classmates and Miss Jeanne Wagoner, legendary former director of athletics at Chatham Hall.
Dr. Nermis Mieses, associate professor of oboe at Michigan State University and faculty at Sewanee Music Festival, performed with pianist Xavier Suarez and Chatham Hall’s Director of Music Dr. Francis Yun on Jan. 4 in St. Mary’s Chapel.
Chatham Hall has announced Boundless Potential, a record-breaking campaign designed to bring myriad benefits to the School community including renovated faculty housing and community spaces, a strong financial foundation for all, and its most ambitious initiative: a state-of-the-art athletics, health, and wellness center for which the School will break ground in spring 2023.
Excitement was palpable in the hours before Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) legend Lisa Leslie arrived on campus Oct. 18. Students waited in the Well, hoping to catch a glimpse of her.
This year’s Writer in Residence, musician, historian, teacher, and songwriter Dr. Julian Saporiti of No-No Boy had a full schedule during his Sept. 20 & 21 residency.
Christine Knight has worked in the alumni and development fields for more than 20 years, holding a B.A. in psychology from the University of Virginia, a M.A. in liberal arts studies from Hollins College, and a M.B.A. from the University of Richmond. Her daughter Cheney '19 is a recent graduate of Chatham Hall, and she enjoys living in faculty housing and being a part of the on-campus community.
Stephanie Wilkinson Roberts ‘95 returned to Chatham Hall in 2022 as the director of Chatham Hall Fund. She received a Bachelor of Science in business management from Averett University as well as a Master of Science in accounting from Liberty University. Stephanie has remained local as a teacher for both Pittsylvania and Halifax Counties after a career as an accountant. Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband, playing volleyball, and getting involved in the local community.
Corinna Hedge Howell ‘12 returned to the School in 2022 as a major gifts officer. After graduating from Chatham Hall, she attended Sweet Briar College, as well as participated in the University of Virginia’s Semester at Sea program. While a student at Sweet Briar, Corrina gained experience in development and alumnae relations before heading to Oldfields School to serve as the alumnae affairs coordinator. Since then, she has held marketing and customer service roles in various industries. As a major gifts officer, Corinna is based out of Jackson, NC with a strategic presence on campus while traveling on behalf of the School.
Kristin Reese Solomon '08 returned to Chatham Hall in 2022 as the associate director of alumnae and parent relations. After graduating from Chatham Hall, she earned a BA from Mary Baldwin College before receiving an MA in executive leadership from Liberty University. Kristin then worked as the assistant director of academic advising for Liberty's online enrollment management department. Her favorite things about Chatham Hall are the strong sense of community and beautiful campus.
Amy Blair is a graduate of Mt. Ida College and joined Chatham Hall in 2005. As a part of the Office of Advancement, she works primarily with alumnae and parent relations. Amy's favorite thing about Chatham Hall is the beautiful campus and her favorite tradition is the annual Honor Chapel.
Adina Blake joined the Advancement team in 2021, most recently working for Monarch and Pfeiffer University, where she also received a bachelor’s in business administration before earning a master’s in accounting and financial management from Devry University’s Keller Graduate School of Management. Outside of work, Adina loves spending time with her family on their farm, traveling, and reading.
