Standardized Testing
At Chatham Hall, we are committed to cultivating curious thinkers who lead lives of impact. To support this mission, we use a holistic admissions process that does not consider standardized testing. Instead, we focus on three key areas:
Curricular Engagement – the rigor and depth of a student’s academic work.
Teacher Recommendations – insight into how a student learns and contributes in the classroom.
Interest in Signature Programs – enthusiasm for the distinctive opportunities at Chatham Hall, from riding and robotics to Global Scholars, iQuest, Entrepreneurship, January Term, and more.
Together, these elements give us a meaningful understanding of each student beyond test scores.
Visit & Interview
We hope you can join us on campus for a tour and an in-person interview. You can also complete your interview via Zoom or as we travel to your area. Contact a member of the Admissions Team to schedule your interview or register for a tour on our Events & Visits page.
Application Fee
$50 for U.S. applicants
$175 for international applicants
Please note the application fee is non-refundable.
Learning Support
Students seeking learning services support should submit a formal diagnostic evaluation completed in the last three years. This will allow us to share the services we can provide in alignment with our mission. Evaluations can be emailed toour Admissions Team.

1. You'll Fit In
The Chatham Hall community is like no other. Here, you are accepted for who you really are, and you have the opportunity to learn with classmates from around the world. When people's differences are celebrated, everyone has a chance to stand out while still fitting in.
Chatham Hall students are challenged by our unique curriculum intentionally designed by faculty to meet students where they are and bring them to the next level, all while preparing them for the future.
Our faculty and staff are the hallmark of the Chatham Hall experience. They're not just employees, but coaches, mentors, advisors, and champions of our students. The connections you make with our faculty can last a lifetime.
Students take part in some of the same activities and events that alumnae 100 years ago participated in. Traditions are what make us, and keep us, Chatham Hall and bond generations of students together.
We’re excited to welcome you to campus for one of our upcoming Open House events. Our Legacy Open House primarily welcomes prospective students with connections to Chatham Hall alumnae, but all are welcome to attend.
These dynamic, day-long experiences include an optional overnight stay, campus tours, student and faculty panels, and the chance to explore the living and learning environment that makes Chatham Hall unique. You'll get a feel for how we nurture curious minds and help students grow into confident, purposeful leaders.
