Mia Vega Tovar ’06

When I first arrived at Chatham Hall, it was one of her first times away from my family’s home in Texas, but so many people helped my sister and I make Chatham Hall home.
The faculty was always there if we needed anything and Spanish class helped us bridge home to Chatham Hall. The School even created a Spanish literature class so that we could have a more advanced option.

My Advisor supported me in making a college choice, challenging and guiding me with thoughtful questions that made me really think about what I wanted to do after Chatham Hall.

Chatham Hall gave me the skills to be a strong woman. My experiences there taught me that I was capable of more and that all I needed to do was take charge. It provided me a safe space to be who I wanted to be and explore more possibilities. It gave me the confidence that I could do what I set myself to do. Being at Chatham Hall really helped me believe in myself and become my best self.

I hope that current and future Turtles will remember to be themselves and take advantage of every single minute that they have at Chatham Hall. It's a safe space that helps you grow into what you can become.
