  Pruden Hall

  Pruden Hall houses our main reception area, known as the Well. This is also the location of our weekly Assemblies in which students and faculty share upcoming activities, announcements, and celebrate personal highlights like college acceptances and birthdays. Pruden is also home to administrative offices including Admissions, dorms on the second and third levels, the Small and Large Drawing Rooms, and more.

  Yardley & Walker Buck

  Yardley Dining Hall is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on weekdays and brunch and dinner on the weekends when school is in session. Located above the dining hall is the Walker Buck Wing which houses dorm rooms.

  Van Voorhis "Dutch" Lecture Hall

  Affectionately known as Dutch, the Van Voorhis Lecture Hall is a 300-seat multipurpose room and event hall located off of Yardley Dining Hall. The hall includes state-of-the-art lighting and sound equipment and is used for School events such as the annual Guth Leader in Residence keynote address, dance performances, yoga classes, and more.

  Dabney Hall

  Dabney is a vibrant hub as it features The Niche (student common area), School Store, Mailroom, Multifaith Room, Fitness Center, Viewing Room, Student Kitchen, and more on the lower level. Classrooms are housed on the main floor, and dorm rooms make up the second and third levels.

  Edmund J. & Lucy Lee Library

  The Lee Library is a 12,256-square-foot dynamic learning commons. It serves as an academic and technological hub for collaborative learning, research, study, and teaching on campus. Versatile meeting and study spaces, including moveable furniture and walls that can be written on, promote an engaging atmosphere for learning. The lower level is home to both the Tea Room and Sandbox classroom.

  Tea Room

  A well-appointed sitting room on the lower level of the Library, the Tea Room offers study space as well as group meeting spaces for events and programs like our Guth Leader in Residence, which offers Chatham Hall girls exceptional opportunities to learn from women who have shaped the world culturally, socially, and politically.

  St. Mary's Chapel

  St. Mary’s Chapel has been at the center of our Spiritual Life program since 1939. St. Mary’s Chapel is noted for its beautiful series of stained-glass windows and allows our community to gather several times a week for a wide-ranging Chapel program. Highlights of the program include Senior Chapel Talks, a tradition allowing each senior to design and lead her own service. While an Episcopal school, Chatham Hall is also open and accepting of community members of all faiths and backgrounds.

  Rectory

  The Rectory is home to our very busy Rector, who serves as head of school. The Rectory is also often used for special events such as dances, class dinners, and alumnae celebrations.

  Soccer & Hunter Trials Fields

  Located by the Carter Gate off of Rt. 57, both the Soccer and Hunter Trials Fields serve students year round. The Soccer field is also often used by Cross Country and other teams. The Hunter Trials Field is a part of our extensive Riding facilities.

  Virginia Holt Building

  Commonly referred to as simply Holt, the Virginia Holt Building was recently renovated to become the meeting place of our World Language classes. Additionally, Holt is home to two garden apartments for faculty on the ground floor.

  Shaw Science & Technology Building

  Shaw Tech is a 16,000+ square foot science and technology building that includes four fully wired laboratory/classroom areas, a high-tech lecture hall, and greenhouse. It is also home to our Makerspace, which features 3-D printers, laser cutters, and the workspace of the Tutu Turtles, Chatham Hall’s award-winning robotics team.

  Curtis' Garden

  Curtis' Garden is a beloved space that alumnae often cite as a campus favorite. Located in between the Holt and Shaw Tech buildings, the garden features a koi pond, statue, benches, and (in the spring) irises, the Chatham Hall flower.

  Athletic Facilities

  A state-of-the-art athletics, health, and wellness center is currently under construction and coming to Chatham Hall in fall 2024! In addition to the new center that will include a basketball court, indoor track, bouldering wall, yoga and dance studios, and much more, the School's athletic facilities also include six tennis courts, multiple playing fields, a barn and stables, and miles of trails.

  Fine Arts Building

  Chatham Hall’s robust Arts program is a draw for many creative students. In addition to housing numerous class offerings, the Fine Arts Building includes the Whitner Gallery & Art Studio, a black box theatre fully equipped with lights and sound, and dance studio. Other arts venues on campus include music rooms in St. Mary’s Chapel and the Van Voorhis Lecture Hall.

  Riding Facilities

  The flagship facility of our Riding Program is our indoor Mars Arena. Other facilities include 40 box stalls for School- and student-owned horses, three teaching arenas, and the permanent Hunter Trials course. With a program that supports different levels of riders, time at the Barn is the highlight of many Chatham Hall girls’ days.

  Mars Arena

  The centerpiece of the riding facilities is Mars Arena, a 42,000 square foot indoor riding arena with stadium seating. A gift from Mr. and Mrs. John Mars P ’78, Mars Arena provides students with an all-weather facility for lessons as well as the ability to host local and regional horse shows.

  Fitness Trail

  A campus favorite, the Fitness Trail is a one-mile loop located on the back of campus. The Cross Country team often uses the trail as a part of their practices and home meets, and the Bamboo Forest is a community favorite.

  Athletic Fields & Tennis Courts

  Chatham Hall has numerous outdoor fields and tennis courts to support all of our student-athletes, including Nellie's Field which is used for field hockey and lacrosse.

  Willis Hall

  Willis Hall houses both the Offices of Advancement and Communications, the Archives, and the Hensleigh classroom.
• 

  Meadow

  Our beloved Meadow is the location of our annual fall Picnic Honoring the New Girls where students are placed on either the Purple or Gold Team. Go Purple! Go Gold!

  Chatham Hall Arboretum

  Established in 2024, the Chatham Hall Arboretum is the peaceful front lawn to our campus. In addition to protecting the School’s natural heritage, we offer an experience of discovery and admiration through a self-guided tour of the 27 featured trees and reflective stations.
