Maturing both physically and mentally

This was a game we talked about a lot. St. Mary's was a well matched opponent, that came onto our path at the right moment. After a 3 win streak, this was the perfect game to measure where we are at. It turned in to a 4 win streak. After a tough 1-0 in the first minute, and struggling throughout the game with our own game and the referees, we came up on top and showed what we are capable off. After a 1-1 in the later part of the second half, we had a lot of shots on goal. We couldn't get the necessary goal. Our goalie kept us in the game and it turned in to overtime, 7-7 sudden death. With the board of trustees visiting, three varsity games at home, the spirit of the team was high and that was clear in overtime. A St. Mary's defender was sent out for excessive body contact, and Chatham Hall scored the 2-1. An ecstatic win.
