Claudia Emerson ’75 Writer in Residence Fund

The Claudia Emerson ’75 Writer in Residence Fund is a highlight of the Chatham Hall curriculum. Stewarded by our English Department, this program brings a noted writer to campus each year to share their inspiring work and engage in meaningful conversations with our students. They often offer keynote speeches or other special presentations, classroom visits, and opportunities for one-on-one interactions over several days. Through these special visits, the Chatham Hall community broadens perspectives, deepens empathy, and celebrates the power of storytelling.
