Experiential Learning Spring Break Trips Return

Chatham Hall is thrilled to once again offer experiential learning travel over Spring Break beginning March 2024.
Chatham Hall is partnering with WorldStrides, an educational travel organization that takes students to the heart of countries and their cultures. Students are able to engage, learn, problem solve, and provide needed assistance while appreciating and learning more about their place and responsibility in the world.

In March 2024, Chatham Hall will participate in WorldStrides’ Leadership & Community Engagement trip to Kenya, Africa. WorldStrides describes this trip as a “service-learning and leadership program that takes you from vast savannahs and deserts to beautiful coral reefs, rainforests, and mountains. Kenya's diversity and beauty offers you the opportunity to explore and get a true taste of Africa away from the well-trodden backpacker trails.” Students will work side-by-side with locals to achieve their service-work goals. This cultural immersion opportunity will have “an enduring educational impact on students, who can develop and implement real-world solutions around the issues they've only explored in class.”

Chatham Hall faculty members will chaperone the 14-day trip. For more information and to register, please click here. The cost currently listed on the registration page includes a $200 discount for those who register by Aug. 1, at which point the price will increase. Registration closes on Sept. 28.

Chatham Hall is committed to offering experiential opportunities to all students. Financial aid is available for students, new and returning, who qualify. If you plan to apply for financial aid, please do not register until an award has been made. To apply, please fill out the form found on the Academic Resource Board in TurtleNET and email it and your essay to Dean Griswold.
