On Saturday, March 28, five Chatham Hall students traveled to Charlotte, North Carolina, to attend the Women’s Leadership Conference at Providence Day School, an inspiring, student-led experience designed to connect young women with leaders across industries.
Throughout the day, students engaged with a dynamic keynote speaker and participated in a variety of breakout sessions, each offering new perspectives on leadership, purpose, and possibility. The conference featured panels of Charlotte-area women who shared their professional journeys, personal insights, and advice with honesty and authenticity.
One student, Yvelisse C. ’28, shared, “I had a great time at the women’s leadership conference. Though the idea of networking sounds daunting, especially with people you don’t know, we made new friends and met so many amazing women. I learned about professionalism, philanthropy, and service. It was truly an inspiring experience.”
For our students, the experience was more than a day away from campus. It was an opportunity to listen, reflect, and imagine what their own paths might look like. Conversations sparked new ideas, reinforced confidence, and highlighted the many ways leadership can take shape.
At Chatham Hall, learning extends far beyond the classroom. Experiences like this deepen understanding, broaden horizons, and connect our students to a wider world of opportunity. We are grateful for the opportunity to participate in this meaningful event and look forward to returning next year.
A special thank you to Ms. Lourdes del Mar Santiago Lebrón’s mother, Thamar Lebrón, for sharing this phenomenal experience with our students.
