Riders Win Ribbons at Hunter Jumper Show

Chatham Hall
Four riders traveled to the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington this past weekend for the South West Virginia Hunter Jumper Association’s Annual Show.
Riders Maddi Grossman ’19 and Shannon Huth ’18 traveled with their horses Beau and Luna, while Susie Wu ’18 and Ellie Johnson ’20 traveled with Chatham Hall's Denali and Norman. The girls participated in various classes over the long weekend and also had a chance to watch the Medal Finals on Saturday night.

Highlights from the weekend began with a fifth for Grossman in the Handy Hunter trip. Wu and Johnson received ribbons in the Beginner Equitation divisions on Saturday and Sunday. Huth came in third in the Randolph College Medal division on Sunday morning, and ninth in a competitive Hunter Classic that afternoon. These results made for an excellent first open horse show of the year and a great way to wrap up the fall season of riding.

Riders will all participate in doubleheader IEA shows at Chatham Hall on November 11th and 12th. Be sure to follow @RideChathamHall on Twitter for up to date results.
