Sallie Krawcheck Named 2017-18 Leader in Residence

Chatham Hall is pleased to announce Sallie Krawcheck as the 2017-2018 Polly Wheeler Guth ’44 Leader in Residence.
Ms. Krawcheck, CEO and Co-founder of Ellevest, a new digital investment platform for women, and Chair of the Ellevate Network, the global professional women’s network, is at the forefront of supporting women in business as Chair or the Pax Ellevate Global Woman’s Index Fund, which invests in the top-rated companies in the world for advancing women.

Own It: The Power of Women at Work, Krawcheck was the CEO of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, of Smith Barney, and of Sanford Bernstein. She has worked to turn around troubled businesses and to resolve Wall Street conflicts of interest. An advocate of a truly client-centered business model, she has been called “The Last Honest Analyst” by Forbes Magazine, her voice being one of research quality and integrity.

Chatham Hall is fortunate to welcome Ms. Krawcheck to campus as the school moves forward with its new strategic plan initiatives, which include entrepreneurship and innovation. Named among the top ten of Fast Company's "100 Most Creative People” in business list, as well as one of Entrepreneur Magazine’s Entrepreneurs to Watch, Ms. Krawcheck will share her business acumen, creativity, as well as her desire to empower and excite women about opportunities in the business world. Chatham Hall’s students will benefit greatly from Sallie Krawcheck’s experiences - from her college years at UNC-Chapel Hill as a Morehead Scholar and Columbia University through her ascension to the pinnacle of the business world.
