Amazing game

The girls lacrosse team took to the field in Lynchburg with great enethusiasm and purpose on Monday night. The girls played aggressively and with serious focus. We got on the board first and continued to pressure the ball. It was a back and forth game for most of the 50 minutes. Lanie Walsh was outstanding in net and was helped by Danesia Parker, Abbi Plemmons and Schuyler Mitchell on defense. The offense was led by Cheney Knight who chased balls and was amazing on feeding the ball to others. Hollie Rule had an awesome offensive run with an unbeliveable 8 goals. Ella Kate Lewis was great on the draws and many others contributed to the superb play on the field. It goes without saying that this group of girls has what it takes to become a solid lacrosse team. They have learned so much in such a short time and have been able to stay competitive in every game. The toughest part is that we will lose several girls who are either graduating or moving on. Hopefully the girls have a new respect and appreciation for lacrosse and will continue to work at their skills even over the summer.

We appreciate all of the support and your continued patience that goes with a new program. You are just as much a part of the team as the players!
