The Power of Participation: Why Every Gift Matters

Kimber Keating P’20, ’22, ’24, Director of Enrollment & Engagement

Giving to the Chatham Hall Annual Fund shows how small acts make a huge impact!

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, both as a mother and in my work at Chatham Hall, it’s that the extraordinary often grows out of the everyday. Small choices. Small moments. Small acts of generosity.

And when all of those “small” things come together? Well… that’s when the magic happens. At Chatham Hall, that magic shows up every single day because of one essential truth:

When everyone gives, our whole community gets stronger.

This is the heart of the Chatham Hall Annual Fund. Not the size of the gift, but the collective strength of participation. When alumnae, parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, and friends all raise their hands and say, “Yes, I believe in this place,” something powerful happens.

  • It means every girl feels supported.
  • It means teachers feel energized and valued.
  • It means alumnae feel connected across generations.
And it means something even bigger. When participation is strong, it sends a powerful message:

We believe in this school. We believe in girls. And we believe in their futures.

That unity is the real power of the Chatham Hall Annual Fund. It’s what keeps classrooms curious, the arts vibrant, athletics competitive, wellness thriving, and opportunities abundant.

And here’s the best part: You don’t have to give big to make a big difference. You just have to give.

Whether it’s $5 or $5,000, your gift says: I’m in. I care. Count me among the people who want extraordinary things for these young women.

So, as we move through this season of generosity, we invite you to join us. Not because you have to. Not because someone else will if you don’t. But because your participation matters—and it creates the Chatham Hall we all love.

Let’s do this together. Let’s be all in for Chatham Hall.
