Dancers Share the Stage with Roanoke Ballet Theatre
Chatham Hall
On January 26, Chatham Hall hosted the Roanoke Ballet Theatre for an afternoon performance in the Van Voorhis Lecture Hall.
The troupe performed their newest choreography, a series of tangos set to Piazzolla’s “The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires.” The Chatham Hall Dance Ensemble joined the guests on stage with a performance of a piece entitled “Connections,” choreographed by Dance Instructor Donna Franklin. Audience members had the opportunity to speak with the dancers at a reception hosted by Chatham Hall after the performance.
The performance was presented by Chatham First and was attended by members of both the school and the greater Chatham community. The event marked the first time that Chatham First had presented ballet and live music to the wider community. Attendees remarked on the outstanding performance by the Chatham Hall Dance Troupe, all of whom danced with excellent poise and grace, making the afternoon a smashing success.
