Sharing the Magic of Collaborative Leadership at TABS

Chatham Hall's Advancement Leadership Model

This week, Chatham Hall’s own Kimber Keating and Shannon Reynolds, co-leaders of the School’s Advancement Office, captivated audiences at The Association of Boarding Schools (TABS) conference with their innovative approach to leadership.

Their secret? A shared leadership model built on trust, transparency, and teamwork. When people ask, “Who’s in charge?” their answer is simple—“Both.” Every decision, initiative, and success is the product of true collaboration, open communication, and a shared vision for Chatham Hall’s future.

Each leader brings her own strengths to the table. Kimber Keating oversees the Chatham Hall Annual Fund, Alumnae Council, and Parent Advisory Committee. She orchestrates cornerstone community events like Family Days, Reunion, and Giving Day, all through the lens of engagement and annual giving. Shannon Reynolds, meanwhile, leads with strategic vision, focusing on major gifts, capital campaigns, planned giving, and overall advancement strategy.

Together, they embody the power of partnership—a model that not only drives results but also inspires connection and creativity within their team and beyond.

Their TABS “lightning round” session drew a crowd eager to learn from their example. Attendees left energized, having witnessed firsthand how shared leadership can spark innovation, deepen relationships, and strengthen school communities.

At Chatham Hall, collaboration isn’t just a value—it’s a way of leading.
