Art Teacher Showcased

Brooklyn Fine Art Print Fair
From March 27-30, Elsabé Dixon, Chatham Hall’s Fine Arts instructor, had her work represented in Booth B7 at the Brooklyn Fine Art Print Fair (BFAPF) in the  Powerhouse Art Center. She was invited to participate by the curator Helen Frederic and the Reading Road Studio.

Powerhouse Arts (PHA) presents the Inaugural Brooklyn Fine Art Print Fair. The print fair welcomes 41 print-focused art galleries, 28 self-representing artists and book arts makers, and seven academic print departments. The not-for-profit PHA is advancing its commitment to creative expression by introducing a new, print-focused fair: the BFAPF.

BFAPF welcomed over 75 exhibitors and hosted print-focused workshops and demonstrations throughout the fair’s run, including a Stone Lithograph Demonstration by the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop and a Prints vs. Posters Battle Royale talk with Angelina Lippert, Executive Director and Curator at Poster House, and Nicholas Lowry.

Elsabé Dixon is known for her work on ecological and environmental concerns. Her work at the Brooklyn Art Fair was produced during an installation of invasive Spotted Lanternfly wings at Penn State University. Click here to find out more about this project.
