Stronger Together: The Impact of Girls-Centered Education

Hear more about Chatham Hall in Austin, Texas!
At Chatham Hall, we know that a girls-centered education changes lives. This belief came to life in Austin, Texas, where leaders, colleagues, and alumnae from several peer schools gathered to celebrate and amplify the transformative power of our shared mission.

In partnership with Dana Hall School, Emma Willard School, The Ethel Walker School,  Miss Porter’s School, and Westover School, Chatham Hall participated in a special alumnae panel, Unleashing Potential: The Impact of Girls-Centered Education.

Chandler Runnells ’19 represented Chatham Hall with grace and conviction as a panelist. Now contributing to the City of Austin’s 2026 Capital Improvement Bond Program, she helps guide planning and community investment strategies—an example of how a girls-centered education equips alumnae to lead and make a tangible impact. We are deeply proud of Chandler and grateful for her voice in this meaningful conversation.

What stood out most was the common thread in each alumna’s story: a girls-centered education instilled the confidence to take risks, the resilience to meet challenges, and the conviction to lead with purpose. By sharing these experiences, our schools affirmed a collective commitment to ensuring more girls have access to this transformative foundation.

We look forward to continuing this collaboration on the road this year, connecting mission-driven schools with students and families who believe in the power of girls’ education. Because a world that is good for women is good for everyone.
