Alumnae Connections Brew Community Impact

Jee-Young Kim ’96 and Beth Campola ’96 Collaborate for Real Impact!

When Chatham Hall alumnae come together, amazing things can happen.

In 2024, Jee-Young Kim ’96 and Beth Campola ’96 reconnected after many years. During their conversation, they discovered two powerful passions that drive their work today. Beth volunteers with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), while Jee-Young and her wife run CaféOquia, a coffee company dedicated to supporting people with intellectual disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges through meaningful employment and skill development.

That connection soon turned into collaboration. Earlier this year, Jee-Young reached out to ask if CaféOquia could support MADD by donating coffee for an upcoming fundraiser. On October 5, at the St. Louis Move Like MADD event, CaféOquia coffee was shared with runners and auctioned off in a special gift basket to raise funds for MADD’s mission.

This partnership is a shining example of how Chatham Hall alumnae continue to make an impact in their communities and beyond. CaféOquia’s mission—to empower young adults with intellectual and neurological differences by helping them develop essential life skills—beautifully aligns with MADD’s commitment to building safer, stronger communities.

Together, they are brewing hope, honoring victims, and creating positive change—one meaningful connection at a time.
