A Strong Start to the IEA Season

With Big Rides Across the Team

The Chatham Hall IEA team kicked off the season with a strong showing at home this weekend before traveling to Hillsborough, North Carolina, on Sunday to compete at the Pleasant Hill IEA Show.

Across both days, Chatham Hall riders demonstrated skill, focus, and teamwork, earning Champion High School Team and Reserve Champion Middle School Team honors on Saturday, followed by Reserve Champion High School Team and Reserve Champion Middle School Team honors on Sunday. It was an impressive start to the season, with riders earning top finishes across every level of competition.

High School Team

Stella T. ’30 placed third over fences in Intermediate both Saturday and Sunday, along with fifth and fourth place finishes in Intermediate Flat.
Charlotte P. ’29 earned third place Saturday and second place Sunday in Open Fences, along with fifth place in Open Flat on Sunday.
Sam N. ’30 earned first place in Walk, Trot, Canter on Sunday.
Charlie H. ’28 placed second Saturday and third Sunday in Novice Flat and fourth Saturday in Novice Fences.
Mia F. ’28 earned third place in Walk, Trot, Canter on Saturday.
Maggie P. ’29 placed second Saturday and fifth Sunday in Walk, Trot, Canter.
Rose W. ’27 earned first place in Walk, Trot, Canter on Saturday.
Hawkins D. ’29 earned first and second place finishes in Novice Flat and second and sixth place finishes in Novice Fences across the weekend.
Tayanna A. ’30 earned first place Saturday and fourth Sunday in Walk, Trot.
Maddy A. ’29 placed second Saturday in Walk, Trot.
Sophie P. ’28 placed sixth Saturday and fifth Sunday in Walk, Trot, Canter.
Lilly C. ’27 earned third Saturday and fifth Sunday in Novice Flat, along with first Saturday and sixth Sunday in Novice Fences.
Mallory S. ’27 earned first place in Intermediate Flat both Saturday and Sunday.
Kennedy E. ’28 placed sixth Saturday and second Sunday in Walk, Trot.
Elyse O. ’29 earned third place in Walk, Trot both Saturday and Sunday.
Nicole H. ’28 placed fourth Saturday and first Sunday in Walk, Trot.
Becky Y. ’27 earned first place in Walk, Trot, Canter on Sunday.

Middle School Team

The Middle School team also had an outstanding weekend.

Perry L. earned first place in Future Walk, Trot both Saturday and Sunday.
Eden B. placed sixth Saturday and Sunday in Future Walk, Trot.
Ella R. Leggett earned first place Saturday and second place Sunday in Future Novice Flat, along with second place Saturday in Future Novice Fences.
Ansley H. earned first place Saturday and fourth place Sunday in Future Novice Fences.
Madison M. placed fourth Saturday and fifth Sunday in Future Intermediate Fences and fourth place both days in Future Intermediate Flat.
Caroline T. earned third place Sunday in Future Walk, Trot, Canter.
Effie D. placed fifth Saturday and second Sunday in Future Walk, Trot, Canter.

From the first ride to the final round, the weekend was a strong reflection of the preparation, horsemanship, and teamwork that define Chatham Hall’s riding program. Congratulations to all of our IEA riders on an exciting start to the season!
