Beyer to Present at 2024 ICGS Conference

A Chatham Hall faculty member will be traveling to Baltimore, MD this summer to share our approach to supporting new students as they transition to life at a boarding school.
Assistant Director of Community Life & Wellbeing Frankie Beyer will lead the breakout session “Supporting Students in a New School Community: Teaching the Skills for Success” at the International Coalition of Girls’ Schools (ICGS) Conference on June 25. The session will focus on Chatham 101, which was reimagined several years ago to provide new students the tools they need for success. Topics covered will include building social-emotional skills, how to handle stress and ask for help, and more. Participants will also consider the challenges that their new students face and think about which programs can mitigate these issues on their campuses.

The ICGS Conference allows the broader girls’ school community to spend time together, share best practices, and learn about emerging educational trends.

Way to go, Ms. Beyer!
