This summer, Zhaojiayi "Tina" Zhang ‘23 attended the Leadership in the Business World (LBW) summer program at the Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania. Below is her reflection:
During the summer of 2022, I applied and was accepted to the Leadership in the Business World (LBW) summer program at the Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania. It is a three weeks on-campus session. The program includes daily lectures on different topics, guest speakers from various career fields but all related to business, group discussions, individual studies, entrepreneurial pitches, company simulations, concentrations, a final project involving deep research of an existing company or start-ups of your own, and some other creative activities.
Overall, LBW is a very substantial program that helps you to start in your own business field. Personally, I highly recommend students who are interested in business-related fields to attend this program, and what I gained the most from the program is the people, the professors, teaching assistants, and students I met. I became friends with many people who are similar to me, and what I feel is a deep attraction between each one of us. Maybe I will get the chance to collaborate with them in the future. In conclusion, I sincerely feel that I have grown greatly in extreme content.
