Madeline Miller Announced as Writer in Residence 2018-2019

Chatham Hall is proud to announce that Madeline Miller, author of Song of Achilles and Circe, will be this year’s Writer in Residence.
Ms. Miller will be on campus November 7-8, 2018, and her visit will include time with students, a writers’ workshop, and a keynote address. Her books will be for sale in the school bookstore in the next few weeks.
The Song of Achilles, her first novel, was awarded the 2012 Orange Prize for Fiction, was a New York Times Bestseller, and shortlisted Madeline for the 2012 Stonewall Writer of the Year. Her second novel, Circe, was an instant number 1 New York Times bestseller. Her work has been translated into over twenty-five languages including Dutch, Mandarin, Japanese, Turkish, Arabic and Greek, and her essays have appeared in a number of publications including the Guardian, Wall Street Journal, Lapham's Quarterly and NPR.org.
