Riders Take the Podium in Durham

On Saturday, October 7th, members of the IEA Team traveled to Durham, NC to compete at Triton Stables.
On Saturday, October 7th, members of the IEA Team traveled to Durham, NC to compete at Triton Stables. The team ended up tied for fourth, with some notable highlights among members of the team. In the Open division, Shannon Huth ’18 was third on the flat and fourth over jumps. Hailey Johnson ’19 had a beautiful trip in her Intermediate over fences class and among strong competition finished up second overall. Athena Critides ’21 was second in novice fences and flat, and Gwen Werth ’21, in her first IEA show with Chatham Hall, was third in fences and fourth in flat.

The team had a strong showing in the walk trot canter division, dominating both sections of the class to finish out the day strong. Emily Grass ’19, in her first IEA show, and Saffron Sharifi ’19 were both first in their classes. Bri Wagner ’21, in her first IEA show, was second and Ellie Johnson was third. The team's next competition will be a doubleheader at home, November 11th, and 12th. Come out and support the team!
