Nationals Proves a Strong Finish for IEA Team

With two qualified riders and many other teammates traveling in support, Chatham Hall riding traveled to the Interscholastic Equestrian Association Finals in Lexington, VA last week.
Individual Rider Elizabeth Trexler '17 competed in the Open Flat and Open Fences division but did not find the judges favor and finished just out of the top eight competitors in both classes. Trexler spent the weekend warm-up riding horses and fulfilling her leadership role on the IEA Youth Board as the Zone 3 Representative. Isabella Hubbard '19 had a strong showing and finished 6th out of the top twenty-four riders in the country in the Beginner Walk Trot Canter Division.

Also traveling with the team were as select group of 10 mounts that the barn was happy to offer in support of the competition. Chatham Hall received repeated recognition as qualified riders and teams earned high points on school horses. At the end of the weekend Chatham Hall was awarded the 2017 National Team Spirit Award for their hard work, sportsmanship, and dedication to helping provide a quality event for all spectators and competitors.
