Young Alumnae Help Senior Class Prepare for College

On Thursday, several recently graduated alumnae returned to campus for an evening of questions and discussion with the Class of 2017. This event, known as the College Transition Workshop, has become a chance for graduating class to ask any questions they may have about life after Chatham Hall. The event, hosted by the College Counseling and Advancement offices, offered recent graduates one of their first chances to give back to Chatham Hall. The panel of speakers included members of the classes of 2014, ‘15, and ‘16 who are attending colleges ranging from N.C. State, to the Virginia Miliary Institute, to the University of South Carolina.

Students and alumnae shared dinner in Van Voorhis lecture hall before the panel discussion. At the end of the hour and a half workshop, some students stayed behind to ask further questions and reminisce with their recent-alumnae friends. In all, the event provided all of the participants with some vital tools and helpful information that will help seniors make their college decisions in the coming weeks.
