Eubank Named Athletic Director of the Year

The Virginia Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (VIAAA) has named Chatham Hall Director of Athletics Jeremy Eubank as Athletic Administrator of the Year for independent schools.
“I am extremely humbled and honored to be nominated and selected by my peers,” said Eubank. “The validation from my peers has made the journey to get to be an athletic director worth the wait.”

Eubank, who is in his second year at Chatham Hall, was among nominations from across the commonwealth and received the award after a vote by past VIAAA presidents. In his time at Chatham Hall, he has created opportunities for girls’ sports not just within the School community, but also the athletic conference and state athletic association. In his first year, Eubank oversaw the addition of three new Chatham Hall interscholastic teams including diving, golf, and track and field, and the creation of a girls’ golf state tournament. In his second year, Eubank created a tournament series for Chatham Hall that allowed the School to host an array of athletic competitions, produce a conference champion in diving, and be named host of the 2024 VISAA Girls’ Golf Championship.

“This is a well-deserved honor for Jeremy,” said Virginia Independent School Athletic Association (VISAA) executive director Adam Brick. “At the state level, he devotes his time and expertise in support of VISAA. He helps mentor new athletic administrators around the commonwealth and supports the state association as the chair of the Cross Country Committee. He volunteers his time to serve on other committees and has a true passion for and dedication to independent school athletics.”

Eubank serves on numerous committees throughout the state. He is the VIAAA Southwest Region representative for independent schools, serves as the VISAA chair for Cross Country and Hall of Fame committees, as well as vice chair for the Girls Soccer Committee, and is the VIAAA liaison to VISAA.

“Coach Eubank has not only promoted our values and vision for our student-athletes but has increased the opportunities in the conference and state association,” noted Acting Head of School Dr. Chris Proctor. “This honor is a testament to all of his hard work. Congratulations, Coach Eubank!”
