Two Riders Qualify for IEA Zone Finals

The School hosted IEA Zone 3 Regionals on Saturday, Feb. 11 featuring eight teams and 128 riders from across Region 8, including three from Chatham Hall.

Carolyn Whatley ’23, Elle Reeves ’25, and Lainey Risley ’26 represented Chatham Hall and all performed well throughout the competition. Whatley earned second place overall in Intermediate Over Fences, Reeves placed third in a competitive Intermediate Flat class, and Risley won first in both Novice Flat and Fences classes.

As one of the top two in their classes, Whatley and Risley have both qualified to ride at Zone Finals, and will travel to the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington, Va. on March 17-19 to compete. The top three riders in each class at Zone Finals will then head to Nationals Finals in April. Good luck, riders!
