IEA Team Hosts First 2022-2023 Home Show

On Oct. 22, the Chatham Hall IEA team held their first home show of the season.

With perfect weather for a horse show, the team finished 4th overall in a tight race between the top finishers with only four points separating them.

Taylor Xu ‘23 had a solid performance with two 4th place ribbons in the Open Division, while Elle Reeves ‘25 followed with a 1st and 3rd in the Intermediate Division.

The Novice riders once again had a successful day with Julia Schultz ‘24 earning 4th and 5th places, and Lainey Risley ‘26 coming out of the Flat with a strong 2nd place finish.

The team finished with Stella Marie Bormann ‘23, Paloma Egido ‘25, and Maeve Raible ‘25 representing the purple and gold in a large Walk-Trot-Canter Division. Raible came away with a 5th place finish while Egido earned 4th place in her first-ever horse show.

The team will compete next on Oct. 29 at NCHJA at Sedgefield at the Park.
