Chatham Hall Hosting Five 2022-2023 Athletic Tournaments

Chatham Hall will host five athletic tournaments in the 2022-2023 academic year.
A Cross Country invitational will take place on Sept. 17 that will feature schools from North Carolina and Virginia. The course will feature a run through Chatham Hall’s more than 350-acre campus, including its bamboo forest. Registration for the invitational is open on the MileSplit website.

“We are really excited to display our new course, to be completed over the summer, with teams from North Carolina and Virginia,” said Director of Athletics Jeremy Eubank.

A Varsity Tennis team tournament will take place on Sept. 24, and an individual JV Tennis tournament will take place on Oct. 15 that will give student-athletes the opportunity to compete in a new format.

“In trying to give our students the opportunity to compete, I wanted to look at other avenues where we didn’t have to travel more than two hours to face outside competition,” said Eubank. “As a result, we were able to put together a couple of dates for tennis and the response from other schools in our region has been amazing.”

To finish out the year, Soccer will host a four-team tournament on March 25 that will feature two teams from Virginia and two from North Carolina. The 2nd Annual Turtle Open Golf Tournament will take place on May 3 at the Tuscarora Country Club where Chatham Hall hosts matches during throughout the season.

Registration is open for all five tournaments; schools interested in participating in any tournament may reach out to Jeremy Eubank at 434.432.5608 or via email.
