Yearbook Wins Gold in National Program of Excellence

The 2022 Chatham Hall yearbook, the Chathamite, has been recognized in Jostens’ National Yearbook Program of Excellence at the gold level, one of only 11 award-winners nationwide.
This is the second consecutive year the publication has been honored, winning silver in 2021.

According to the Jostens website, “the National Yearbook Program of Excellence Award is given based on the extraordinary efforts that go into creating a yearbook and making it accessible to every student.” The criteria includes: creating a meaningful yearbook for all students, ensuring a yearbook for every student, and effective project management. School’s earn gold-level recognition for achievements in all three categories.

This award-winning yearbook was created and led by editor Starr Brooks ‘22 and staff members Sarah Campola ‘22, Estelle Mason ‘23, and Sophie Leak ‘23, under the direction of Rachel Balsley, the School’s director of digital strategy and yearbook adviser.

“It’s really exciting to have all of our hard work recognized at a national level,” noted Balsley. “The staff put a lot of time, effort, and creativity into creating a collection of memories for students, and I couldn’t be more proud.”

The theme of the 2022 yearbook was Appreciate the Journey, one of the School’s values, and it was unveiled to the School community on May 16. The yearbook staff will be presented with a pin, plaque, and banner by Jostens.

Congratulations, Turtles!
