Pianist Jeannette Fang to Perform on Campus
Pianist Jeannette Fang will be performing a short recital for the campus community at 2:00 p.m. on May 11 in St. Mary’s Chapel.
Fang has been the pianist of the acclaimed Garth Newel Piano Quartet since 2015, where she also serves as the co-artistic director. She has received many prestigious awards, including the Gold Medal, President’s Award, and Audience Favorite Prize at the Seattle International Piano Competition, and top prizes in the Dallas Chamber Symphony International Piano Competition and MTNA Young Artist National Competition.
“Having known Jeannette since our school days, I can say that she is an amazing artist, a true whiz on the piano, and a great role model for our students,” noted Director of Music Dr. Francis Yun.
The concert has been generously sponsored by the Sarah C. Benson '47 Endowed Music Fund and Joan Danforth Cook '48 Concert Lecture Fund.
“Having known Jeannette since our school days, I can say that she is an amazing artist, a true whiz on the piano, and a great role model for our students,” noted Director of Music Dr. Francis Yun.
