Winter Teams See Record Numbers & New Opportunities

This winter season saw a record number of students participate in basketball, the addition of diving as a sport, the swim team head to the Blue Ridge Conference (BRC) Championships and the state meet, and one of our beloved members honored through our robotics team.

Basketball saw good progress made in all phases of the game and will allow the program to have a good base for next season.

Swimming showed progress as each member of the team helped relay teams cut time to qualify for the VISAA State Championships in Northern Virginia.

Diving made tremendous strides as Faye Souza ‘23 qualified for the VISAA State Championships in Northern Virginia. Competing against 44 divers, Souza finished 16th overall.

Robotics dedicated its robot to beloved faculty member Cathy”La” LaDuke to honor her memory and her commitment to the Chatham Hall. The team competed with the fire and passion seen from La for many years in athletics. The team also won a design award for their robot.

Many building blocks were laid this season and the future looks bright for our winter sports!
