IEA Team Competes at First Home Show

Before heading home for Thanksgiving Break, the Chatham Hall IEA team hosted their first home show of the season in the Mars Arena. With eight teams and more than 175 rides, it was a full day of tough competition.
The day started off with Chatham Hall's senior Open riders, Annabele Whitehead '22 and Kensington Nelson '22, taking home wins in all four classes. Continuing the strong start, Zoey Horn '22 also claimed a win in Intermediate Flat with Eve Dunnagan '23 third, Taylor Xu '23 fourth, and Vance Luster '23 fifth. Over Fences, Horn placed fourth with a strong trip in section A, while Taylor ended up sixth.

The afternoon session began with a second place finish for Elle Reeves '25 in Novice Flat Section B, and Emerson Clement '25 was fourth in a competitive section A. Over Fences, Clement claimed a well-deserved third place. Wrapping up the day, Sophie Croker Poole '23 had a beautiful ride and placed sixth in a very competitive Walk Trot Canter.

Several students qualified for Regional Finals individually by earning at least 18 points in their division, including Nelson, Piper Vogel '22, Horn, and Reeves. The team will travel to Virginia Tech on Sunday, Dec. 5 before wrapping up their regular season at home on Jan. 22.
