A Prayer for Our Community

Dear Community Members,

Our hearts are with all Chatham Hall community members impacted by these historic winter storms. We hope you are all safe and well, and know that you will remain in our prayers.
We invite you to join us in this prayer, and modification made by Chaplain Barksdale to one from the Cycle of Prayer for Episcopal Schools.

God of power and might, mother and father, a strong arm in times of need. God of nurturing love, father and mother, a warm heart in the midst of strife. With the lingering cold and ice, these are difficult times for so many who have been affected by this terrible storm. People are without power and water in so many places. People have endured damage to their property and are concerned for those in their care. Give us strength at this time to endure, patience to withstand life's challenges, calm as we await positive change, courage in the face of fear, and the desire to help our neighbors in need, even when we ourselves must do without. Help us to use this time to come alive to our friends who need us, to be a living witness of your love. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, who taught us how to live. Amen.

With good wishes of health and safety,

Rachel Connell
