Community Celebrates International Culture with Festival

Chatham Hall
On February 29, the Chatham Hall community came together for a night celebrating the diverse backgrounds of its members.
Students modeled traditional fashions, performed dances, and displayed art from the thirteen countries represented in the community. The International Student Club sponsored the event, which featured cultural performances from India, Nigeria, Korea, and many other countries.

The night was the end result of months of preparation and coordination between different groups on campus. International Students Association (ISA) president, Anna Song ’21, was proud of the effort on display during the event, saying, “The International Students Night is definitely one of the best nights in Chatham Hall and all of the performers, ISA officers, and helpers backstage worked extremely hard for this. Every participant wishes that the community could have a great experience regarding different cultures and students' talents through the performances.” The club seeks to create opportunities for cultural connection in the community, through events and regular meetings and celebrates the unique individual backgrounds that make up Chatham Hall.
