Community Celebrates a Year of Academic Accomplishments

Chatham Hall
On April 19, the Chatham Hall community gathered in St. Mary’s Chapel to celebrate the academic accomplishments of students.
This annual celebration honors girls from all grades for their outstanding work throughout the year, with presentations ranging from the Dean’s and Rector’s lists announcements to college awards from schools such as Rensselaer, UVA, and Sewanee.

The ceremony also welcomed in the next class of student leaders with the announcement of the Honor Council President. After the school-wide election and announcement of the 2018-2019 Honor Council earlier in the month, the president was voted on by the school community and announced at the celebration. The Council president for the 2018-2019 school year will be Ayo Eniola ’20, and in the role of St. Mary’s Crucifer, also announced during the ceremony, will be Nia Simpson ’20.
