On February 15 and 16, members of the varsity swim team traveled to James Rouse Aquatic Center in Stafford, VA to participate in the VISAA state swim meet.
First up for Chatham Hall was the 4x50 Yard Freestyle, where May May Drimer ’20, Lucy Blackwell ’21, Stephanie Zhang ’20, and Cheney Knight ’19 finished with a time of 1:54.82. Up next, Drimer, Emily Grass ’19, Zhang, and Knight swam the 4x100 yard freestyle with an official time of 4:17.94, a full 14 seconds faster than the team’s qualifying time. To round out the competition, Knight and Drimer swam the 50-yard freestyle, where they finished with times of 28.50 and 28.59 respectively. The meet capped off an outstanding year for the varsity swim team and carried on a strong legacy built over the previous seasons.
