The best thing about Chatham Hall is most definitely the community. I’ve made lifelong friends that I couldn’t imagine my life without.
I have also had some incredible teachers and dorm parents who are always there for me and always ready to push me to do my best.

I’ve definitely become more independent and outgoing in my time here so far. I’ve also learned that I can challenge myself and do more than I could’ve ever imagined.

I’ve had many amazing opportunities like Global Scholars, and the ability to take courses I’m truly interested in which have both helped me move forward in my future plans. I have the opportunity to research a topic I’m interested in, so for me that would be feminism and immigration, and present about it at the end of my senior year through Global Scholars. In addition to this, I have had amazing math and science teachers that have challenged me to keep growing and helped me find a love for each. I hope to use these skills to someday work as an astronautical engineer and study social justice.

I would tell any student considering Chatham Hall to just take the leap. Coming from the other side of the country was definitely not easy, but it was so worth it. I truly don’t think I would be who I am today if it hadn’t been for Chatham Hall. I feel prepared to take on my future and any other challenge life may throw at me!
