During our oldest daughter's 8th grade year, we began looking for the excellence we wanted for our daughters in a girls' boarding school experience.
We looked at several schools that were geographically closer to where we live (although Chatham Hall is not that far away), and decided to visit after we were continually referred to Chatham Hall by educators and alumnae whose opinions we respected.
During our visit, we just knew that this would be the school. Interestingly, our three daughters are quite unique; we had no idea at the time that we would actually be picking the school for all three of them. Each daughter has found what she's looking for at Chatham Hall. That's an impressive statement for a school Chatham Hall's size!
When we visited, we heard the adults in the community emphasizing their commitment to helping girls develop their sense of agency and voice. We were impressed with the consistency of the message, but found that there was real substance behind these words. Each of our daughters has found her voice at Chatham Hall. Some of our proudest moments have been listening to our daughters articulate their well-informed opinion about a political or social issue. We also see our daughters taking ownership for their education. In parenting, we try to remember to begin with the end in mind. It's clear to us that Chatham Hall does the same.
As parents, we believe that giving our girls the Chatham Hall experience is a selfless choice. Certainly we miss having our daughters living at home with us, but we know that the experiences and opportunities afforded to them at Chatham Hall exceed what we could offer them here. We believe that our daughters are becoming their true selves. And now we cherish our time with them in a new way.

Chatham Hall is an exceptional school with exceptional opportunities for girls. It's hard to believe that a school Chatham Hall's size can actually execute their programs with the substance that these programs provide, but they do it. We still aren't sure exactly how they do all they do, but Chatham Hall has met or exceeded our expectations. Chatham Hall is truly an excellent investment in your daughter's future.
