The Chatham Hall IEA Team competed in three shows during its fall season.
The season opened with a home show on Oct. 28. The team rode strongly with incredible showings from Georgia McGuire ‘27, Emma Geyer ‘25, and Anna Froneberger '27. Competing for the first time in IEA, McGuire earned top honors in the Walk, Trot, Canter class. Both Geyer and Froneberger earned second place ribbons in the Open and Novice classes, respectively. Chatham Hall ended up tying for High Point Team at the end of the day but finished as Reserve Champion following a nail-biting tiebreaker.
The riders traveled to Townley Equestrian Center in North Carolina on Nov. 5 for their second show. It was a long day of competing, but the team rode thoughtfully and competitively. Maeve Raible ‘25 and Yuxi "Annie" Chen ‘24 both brought home first place in Novice and Walk Trot, respectively. Sydney Fisk ‘27, Geyer, and McGuire also earned top honors in their classes. The team placed 4th overall out of many highly competitive teams.
Returning home to host, the third show took place on Nov. 11. Lainey Risley ‘26, Paloma Egido ‘25, Lilly Corser ‘27, Eva Romero ’27, Geyer, and Chen all earned impressive placings in their classes. The team once again rode purposefully and competitively, finishing Reserve Champion.
The team had a wonderful fall IEA season, placing Chatham Hall in a strong position for their winter shows. Several riders have already qualified for Regional Finals in February. The team competes next on Jan. 6 following Winter Break.
