Two Trips, Two Unforgettable Experiences

For the first time in the history of the service travel program, Chatham Hall will offer two uniquely designed trips with our partner, Alterra Global Initiatives, a dynamic, global-education consulting group in Washington, DC. Travelers may now choose from an experience in social action in South Africa, or a robotics collaboration in Finland & Estonia. The trips will take place March 15-27, 2020, and registration is now open. We hope to see you there!

Finland and Estonia provide a perfect backdrop for this kind of experiential discovery, as they are two of the world's leading countries to invest in coding and robotics in the classroom at all ages.

Girls will grow their cultural awareness and global citizenship through the lense of South Africa: its democracy, its cultural and historical venues, its landscapes, and its community organizations. Even further, this opportunity creates a dialogue for shared understanding between Chatham Hall girls and the students and the community leaders they meet. At the end of this immersive and expansive experience, girls will bring a broadened sense of context and perspective back to their academic and extracurricular pursuits.
