Chatham Hall Celebrates The Class of 2010

Chatham Hall celebrated the Baccalaureate and Commencement ceremonies for the Class of 2010 on Saturday, May 29th.
The 37-member class, along with faculty, family members, and friends gathered in St. Mary's Chapel for the Baccalaureate service which included an address by history instructor Dennis Reichelderfer and Senior Speaker Vicky Morrison - both introduced by Senior Class President Breana Coleman. The service also featured violin music by seniors Grace Hwang and Amy Hendricks as well as a piece by the St. Mary's Choir conducted by junior Sandra De Anda.
While thunderstorms had threatened the night before, the morning blossomed into picture perfect early summer weather as the seniors processed to the front lawn for Commencement.
English Instructor Dr. William Black introduced the new members into the Cum Laude Society.

The presentations of Diplomas and traditional Irises were handed to each senior by Dr. Hamilton McKay, Jr. and Mrs. Lillian McKay, grandparents of senior Anna Sloan and both former Chatham Hall Trustee members.
The ceremonies were concluded with closing remarks by Dr. Fountain and the singing of the School's Alma Mater.
