Advanced Placement

A total of 15 Advanced Placement (AP) course are available to students with strong abilities. Each course counts as one academic credit toward graduation.

Faculty members decide which students are admitted to AP courses. Although requirements may vary, in general, the criteria include a student’s previous course work, interest, ability, writing and reading skills, and standardized test scores. When an AP course is completed, the student must take the AP examination administered by The College Board in addition to a Chatham Hall exam.
